Economic Inclusion Plan: Procurement Efforts to Support Inclusion
The City has passed laws that provide opportunities to traditionally excluded parties and individuals on City funded projects or when an economic development project is partially funded by the City. A disparity study was done which showed issues with vertical construction which supports Chapter 187 below. The laws include:
By working together we are pushing Cleveland forward! The City also partnered with a variety of organizations to implement our Community Benefit Plan, to insure that residents, and especially low income residents, can participate in the immediate growth that Cleveland is now seeing. Local institutions and developers have signed on to voluntarily participate. There are other efforts that the City of Cleveland has developed to address this issue as well.
