AKA Team Construction Management Inc's Cleveland Expansion

AKA Team Construction Management Inc. is a full service, minority, female-owned commercial construction and facilities company that partners with its Northeast Ohio client base to provide collaborative management and construction services via their commercial waterproofing and self-performance divisions.

The company was initially formed by Ariane Kirkpatrick in 2009 who was hired by the Cleveland Museum of Art to perform post-construction cleaning. The company has grown exponentially since then.

Previously located at 4640 Hinckley Industrial Parkway in Cleveland, Ohio the company sought the City’s assistance to purchase a 14,000 square foot office facility located across the street at 7411 Hinckley Industrial Parkway. The new site doubles the size of their previous workspace which will accommodate the company’s future growth.

The AKA Team has worked on a range of local residential and commercial projects since 2009 including St. Johns Medical Center , CMHA at Union Square, Commerce Park Apartments and Cleveland Museum of Art’s $350 Million expansion project.

Through the SBA MUNI Grant Program, the City provided a grant in the amount of $11,250 to help offset the equity injection requirement for SBA back loans. Total project costs amounted to $75,000 which includes renovation expenses and soft costs.

AKA Construction will create an additional 1 job and retain at least 8 full time equivalent jobs for the City of Cleveland.
