Cleveland Gets Recognition as a Start-Up Hub
DataFox, a business intelligence firm, released its list of the best cities to found a company outside Silicon Valley and New York, and Cleveland ranked in the top 15. Our investment in building a central hub for entrepreneurs has really paid off. Cleveland, as a startup hub, is finally receiving the recognition we deserve.
"Early-stage startups thrive on a close entrepreneurial community," said Anisha Sekar, a researcher on the study. "By creating a centralized hub, Cleveland provides a one-stop shop for founders to bounce ideas off each other, learn from mentors, and meet potential investors. It also boasts the lowest cost of living among the 15 cities we profiled, which is another major draw for pre-funding companies. Cleveland provides the energy and collaboration that comes from a high startup density, while remaining affordable for founders and their families."
