A Message from Mayor Frank G. Jackson
With a focus on innovation and technology, Cleveland is becoming a location of choice for established businesses, entrepreneurs and their employees. Downtown Cleveland is transforming into a vibrant 24/7 hub of activity with new development, new amenities, new businesses and new residents. Our employment centers are growing and are connected like never before thanks to the HealthLine. The Health-Tech Corridor offers transit-oriented development opportunities and a compelling location for innovative businesses. Our neighborhoods are distinct and diverse, with a variety of housing, shopping and dining options. Cleveland is moving forward and we would like you to join us in building on its momentum.
We are capitalizing on a major fiber highway that runs from New York City to Chicago through Cleveland. This important piece of tech infrastructure offers an unparalleled opportunity for technology companies to transfer data, yet another way Cleveland offers a distinct advantage to this fast-growing industry sector.
We work closely with our anchor institutions, including Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals and Case Western University to name a few, and our economic development organizations such as Team NEO, BioEnterprise, JumpStart, Greater Cleveland Partnership and NorTech – all of which make Cleveland a place where companies can grow and thrive.
My Administration is focusing on initiatives that position the City of Cleveland as a capital of innovation while recognizing our talented workforce and our strength as a manufacturing center. In addition, we continue to work and improve the quality of life to ensure that Cleveland is a world class city with a sustainable future.
Cleveland is a strong community with strong people – people who have supported its great past and are working towards an even greater future.
The time has come to rethink Cleveland. Contact our Economic Development staff to learn more or schedule a visit.
