The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority
provides Bus Rapid Transit (The HealthLine), train, trolleys and bus service throughout Cuyahoga County carrying 50 million riders a year with the majority of riders commuting to work or school. This transit access allows businesses located on the numerous transit lines to conveniently bring employees and customers directly to their doors.
The Red Line service starts at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and provides direct access to Downtown and University Circle. In addition, the Downtown area and eastward through the Cleveland State University area is connected by several free trolleys providing residents and employees with convenient access. With the new urbanism interest by millennials, employees want to live in the City and have close access to their jobs. Our transit system provides this link. RTA has been a great partner, providing new transit options like the HealthLine
that have opened new transit oriented development
On Aug. 13 and Aug. 27, ride RTA's Waterfront Line to free outdoor concerts, from 7-10 p.m., at the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame "Summer in the City" concert series.
Cleveland's Heart Walk begins at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27 at Voinovich Bicentennial Park, on Lake Erie at East Ninth Street. Ride the Waterfront Line to the North Coast Harbor Station.
